Sustainable Gift Wrap Ideas

Can you believe it's December? As the holiday season is fast approaching, our attention is (naturally) turning to how we can make sure our gift wrapping is both sustainable and chic for an eco-friendly Christmas.

Embrace the Foliage

Gathering foliage for your gifts is a fail-safe way to bring elegance to your wrapping. Use recycled brown paper as your base, before adding in a host of cut stems, berries and dried clementines, all tied up with string.

Recycle your Magazines

Chances are that a year of reading has left you with a collection of glossy mags and old newspapers, ready to be reused. Give your pages a new lease of life by wrapping your gifts up in the words and pictures that you once enjoyed reading – a playful technique that's unique every time.

Reimagine your Gift Labels

We get it, it's tempting to hit 'order' on a batch of gift labels at this time of year. But, taking a little bit of extra time to make your own will result in a collection of name cards that are good for both the environment and for your conscience. Needed: some leftover foliage from earlier and your best handwriting.

Upcycle Old Fabric

This one may be new to you, but bundling your presents up in something softer is a lovely way to utilise scrap fabrics you've got lying around at home. Plus, it gives your recipient an extra gift to reuse for their future wrapping too.

Thank you!
